The nearest airport to Ascona is Milan Malpensa (MXP). You can take a train from Milan Malpensa (MXP) to Ascona (Locarno, Piazza Stazione) in around 2h 40m. Zurich is the other airport from where trains to Locarno are available (around 3 hour trip).
Once in Locarno, you have two possibilities. Taxi (several taxis are available at Locarno railway station. The cheapest rates are usually with the EcoTaxis) or a public bus. Bus Nr. 1 (http://www.centovalli.ch/fileadmin/redaktion/images/biglietteria/Orari/Ascona-Locarno_Tenero_1.pdf) from Locarno railway station to Ascona (stop Ascona Posta) and then Bus Nr. 5 ("Buxi") from Ascona to Monte Verità (http://centovalli.ch/fileadmin/redaktion/images/biglietteria/Orari/Zona_Ascona_5.pdf).
On Monday the 17 April during the morning, a shuttle from the organization will be available for 4 hours to move participants from Locarno train station to Monte Verità (40 min trip). Similarly, on Friday the 21 April, a shuttle will be available after lunch from Mte Verità to Locarno train station.
